Aishwarya and Abhishek tied the knot in April, and industry analysts say their marriage created Bollywood's ultimate power couple with public interest in the couple being likened to Hollywood duo of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie.

Earlier in the day, the former Miss World dazzled audiences as she took the ramp wearing a blue sequenced ensemble at the launch of the Bridal collection of Swiss watch company Longines of whom she is a brand ambassador.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan walked the ramp in the Capital to endorse the launch of a new bridal collection of luxury watches. 

The most famous daughter-in-law of the Indian film industry finally made her first appearance on the ramp after her grand wedding amidst clicking shutterbugs and a cheering Delhi crowd. 

However, the lady could not resist talking about her own marriage and honeymoon.
Aishwarya says that she is a happy girl after her wedding. “I feel so blessed. I wish we had more time off. Abhishek and me keep talking about our honeymoon,” she said.
Apart from the marital bliss, what’s also keeping Aishwarya excited is her big Hollywood project, the Pink Panther sequel with Steve Martin which she just finished shooting for.“It was a great ensemble cast,” says Aishwarya.
Talking about her wedding and the excitement, she also spoke about the recent controversy surrounding IT notices to the Bachchans.

Aishwarya says that although there have been misconceptions and misunderstandings which have gained momentum, however, the family has left it on the head of the family, Amitabh Bachchan to quell it. 

Aishwarya will also soon be seen on the big screen with Abhishek and Amitabh Bachchan in Sarkar Raj which is scheduled for release in early 2008.

Amitabh Bachchan has done it all... from endorsing innumerable products to performing in international concerts with his family. The superstar of Indian cinema has also time and again paid tribute to his roots by acting in Bhojpuri films. 

However, few industry cynics are of the opinion that Bachchan wants to (literally) cash in on his current successful phase as he fears that his star value and thus offers coming his way may start diminishing! 

We raise the topic with Deepak Sawant, producer of the Bhojpuri films Ganga and Gangotri , who has been Amitabh’s make-up artist for the past 36 years and a loyalist of the Bachchans. The humble man who is addressed as ‘ dada ’ by Bachchan parivaar and even Aishwarya Rai retorts, “Amitabh Bachchan is not money-minded! I have been working with him for the past 36 years and he has never acted in films solely to earn money! A person of his calibre obliges to the request of his make-up artist and makes time out of his busy schedule just to be an integral part of a Bhojpuri film speaks highly of the man. I don’t want to say this but he hasn’t charged me a penny for Ganga or Gangotri ! He didn’t demand money, neither have we paid him but we have done whatever possible from our side to thank him.” 

So is the superstar pricy and choosy while selecting films? “Bachchan saab demands a good script. That’s all that he expects. I assured him that if he doesn’t like the scripts of my films he can consider my project as trash and dump the script in the dustbin. But fortunately he liked it and agreed to do the films”, says Sawant with pride. 

Is the case similar for Bachchan saab’s bahu as well we probe. “Ash is as humble and down to earth as Bachchan saab . In fact I am coming up with a Hindi film and will request Ash, Abhi and Amitabh all three to be a part of the film which I am sure they will consider.” 

Famous Bhojpuri actor-singer Manoj Tiwari seconds Sawant’s opinion about the Bachchans and says, “When Ash came with Amitji and Abhishek for Gangotri press conference, Amitji asked her if she knew me and she smiled and said, “How can I not know him? He is the hero of your film and a talented singer.” The family is well mannered and sees to it that other actors are comfortable in their company, unlike the media reports about them being snooty.”
