Aishwarya Rai Latest News

Actor Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has for the first time "candidly" spoken about her marriage proposal from Abhishek. The former Miss World poured her heart out in an interview to a magazine. With a ring in his pocket, Abhishek was fully prepared when he popped the question to Aishwarya on a windy night in New York, she revealed in the interview. The ring that Abhishek had with him was no diamond rock, but a studio prop from the sets of Guru. It was the same ring that Abhishek had slipped on Aishwarya's finger in the film. He in fact asked the producer if he could keep the ring, for sentimental reasons. The two had just returned from the premiere of Guru in Toronto and were in New York. Aishwarya is still smitten by that gesture of Abhishek. "He is original and real, like our relationship. There is nothing predictable or boring about our life. We nurture each other. The gesture was spontaneous and meaningful. God has been kind to us. We can certainly afford those standard rocks. But do we need them," she asked. Surely, one of the richest couples in Bollywood does not need sparklers to show their worth. But like any regular couple, which they claim they are, Abhishek and Aishwarya's relationship too is not devoid of any fights, though short-lived ones. "We argue and fight over such trivial things, nothing major. I can't carry a sulk for too long. After any argument, it's generally me who breaks the ice by asking Abhishek for some advice or the other. Besides, technology has made things so much easier, what are emotions for," she said. In fact, the two would rather casually hang out than being a part of a predictable routine. "I enjoy watching soccer
on sports channels with Abhishek, just hanging. It surprised him initially
that I preferred to watch sports rather than romantic comedies. But I have
always preferred to hang out with the guys. I am not a part of the Bollywood
girlie gangs. Don't get me wrong, but I can't see myself saying stuff like,
'Hey babes, love your bag'," Aishwarya said.
