As the news came that
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is expecting, Salman Khan joined the Bollywood stars
in wishing the Bachchans. At an event to promote his movie Chillar Party,
Salman congratulated the Bachchans and wished them well.
The experts believed that
Baby B would make an appearance close to mother Aishwarya’s birthday, November
1. Paa-to-b e, Abhishek Bachchan confirms the news: “We’ve not been given
a date yet, but yes, it is a November baby. That will take the number of
November borns in the Bachchan family to six, starting with my grandfather
Harivansh Rai Bachchan, my father-in-law Krishnakant Rai, Aishwarya, my
nephew Agastya and my pet dog Shanook.”
Abhishek will not be taking
any paternity leave from the shoot of Bol Bachchan, but since he will be
filming in the city, he’s not unduly perturbed. “I will be with Aishwarya
when she delivers. I can’t wait to hold our baby,” he beams, admitting
that he’d like a daughter first, and another baby later.
Salman, who had a torrid
affair with Aishwarya in the late 1990s and later had a big breakup, put
all that behind him. In his (Dabangg's) Chulbul Pandey's style, he went
on to wish them not one little Bachchan, but a whole football team.
Indian actress Aishwarya
Rai and her husband Abhishek Bachchan are expecting a baby!, Amitabh
broke the news via Twitter, telling his followers: "I am going to become
a grandfather! Aishwarya is expecting! So happy and thrilled!"
This will be the first
child for Rai, 37, and actor Bachchan, 35. The couple wed on April 20,
2007 in a private ceremony at the Bachchan residence, Prateeksha, in Juhu,
Mumbai.
He will not attend this
year's event in Toronto either. He said it was because IIFA did not want
him.
IIFA on the other hand
said that Bachchan's absence from last year's event forced it to do away
with the brand ambassador concept.
The Bhaskar report added
that Bachchan had also planned to go the whole hog with his promotion for
his forthcoming Bbuddaah Hoga Tera Baap throughout the week to deflect
attention from IIFA. |
