Katrina Kaif collapses
with Akshay Kumar

Immense work load, continuous
travelling, attending various promotional events as well as filmy parties
certainly take a toll on a star’s life. Katrina Kaif recently fainted on
the sets of a film because of low blood pressure.
The actress, who has
visited hospital for a number of conditions including backaches and stomach
aches in recent months, collapsed due to the heat and her heavy workload.
“Yesterday, Kat was to
shoot for an important sequence. Co-stars Akshay Kumar and Akshaye Khanna
were also available and it was imperative that the sequence be canned that
day,” a source told Mid Day.
“In the middle of one
of the scenes, Katrina fainted, alarming the unit and her co-stars. Farah
and the production team swung into action, and called up one Dr Neeta from
Breach Candy and had her flown down to the location on the outskirts of
Mumbai.
The actress was shooting
with Akshay Kumar and Akshaye Khanna for the Farah Khan film Tees Maar
Khan at Malshej Ghats, a few hours’ drive away from Mumbai. As a source
tells a tabloid, when Katrina fainted on the sets, a doctor was immediately
called in from Breach Candy Hospital and Kat was attended to. |
Kat has confirmed the
news and is quoted as saying, “It’s okay, I just collapsed… It’s nothing
serious... just low blood pressure because of the heat.” Earlier, she was
admitted to the hospital because of stomach infection.
However, according to
a source, “Kat has been shooting endlessly and travelling for her endorsement
commercials and other film projects. She was immediately put on a saline
drip and has further been advised strict bed rest.” Kaif said: “It’s okay,
I just collapsed. I’m fine now. Farah and Akshay called the doctor for
me. It’s nothing serious… just low blood pressure because of the heat.” |
