BALLIA (UP): Increasing the family divide, Samajwadi Party general secretary Amar Singh's brother Arvind Singh has decided to join the Congress.

Arvind Singh, who had recently launched a scathing attack on the SP leader, said he would be joining the Congress on its foundation day on December 28 to strengthen it in the eastern parts of Uttar Pradesh.

He said would dedicate himself to strengthening the party in the eastern parts of the state as well as "expose Amar Singh and give him a befitting reply".

Senior SP leader from Azamgarh Brijendra Singh and former Provincial Police Service officer Shailendra Singh would also be joining the congress on the same day, he added.
