Guangzhou, Nov 26: It
was India's 'Golden Day' in Asian Games 2010. Indian boxer Vijender Sigh
grabbed country's 14th gold in 75kg boxing event on Friday, Nov 26.

Putting aside the poor
performance in Delhi Commonwealth Games, Vijender Singh thrashed Uzbekistan's
Abbos Atove in the boxing 75kg category. Vijender took lead against his
opponent in the very first round and continued it through out the game.
It was India's fourth
gold on the Golden Friday. Earlier on the day, Indian women's team won
gold in 4X400m relay. Also, Indian men's and women's clinched gold in khabadi
event.
With the historic performance,
India mounted to sixth position in Asiad medal tally with a total of 63
medals comprised of 14 gold, 16 silver and 33 bronze.
The Indian comprehensively
beat Uzbekistan's double world champion Attos Aboev 7-0 in the final.
This is India's 14th gold
medal at the Guangzhou Asiad.
Earlier in the day, Santosh
Kumar lost in the final of the 64kg category 1-16 to Kazakhstan's Daniyar
Yeleussinov in finals to end up with a silver medal.
