13, 2009, Priyanka Chopra was released from Kokilaben Hospital in
Lokhandwala, Andheri, Mumbai late afternoon on Monday, April 13.
Priyanka, 26, was admitted to the hospital on Saturday for stomach infection and exhaustion. The Fashion star, who is currently filming for Ashutosh Gowariker’s What’s Your Rashee, has been on a hectic schedule lately. “She had fever and had been unwell for some time. We advised her to take a battery of tests and so she has been kept under observation,” Dr. Ashok Chopra, Priyanka’s father, told the press. “Though all her test reports are normal, she has been advised to take rest and to slow down her work schedule.” “We are leaving for a
long family vacation, but Priyanka first wants to complete Ashutosh Gowariker’s
film (first week of May),” he added.
Priyanka in hospital On Saturday morning an over exhausted Priyanka was admitted to a hospital at Lokhandwala, Andheri. Her spokesperson confirmed, “She has been admitted to the hospital due to extreme exhaustion and an acute stomach infection. Though her condition is stable now, she has been kept under observation.” Priyanka, who has been working non-stop, shooting for films, travelling for endorsements, performing at live shows, barely has the time to rest. What caused her health to deteriorate? “Priyanka has been working round the clock for a long time now. Week before last, she even fainted on the sets of What’s Your Rashee. Though director Ashutosh Gowariker announced pack up, Priyanka insisted on completing her shots. To add to it, the next day, despite her ill health, Priyanka performed at the Miss India pageant and soon after she returned to shoot for Ashutosh’s film. Finally on Saturday, she complained of stomach ache and had absolutely no strength to shoot. She was immediately taken to the hospital for a check up where she was admitted,” the source said.
