Priyanka
Chopra - Manjeet, the silly village girl
Yes! It’s Bollywood’s
leading lady Priyanka Chopra that we are talking about. The actress was
in the Pink City, shooting for a music video for a Scooty brand that she
is endorsing.
So she is no longer, Manjeet,
the silly village girl, but a smart chic chasing guys on her scooty.
The set was put up near
the famous Jal Mahal in Jaipur, amidst extremely tight security. And though
the local media stressed, sweated and panted to catch a glimpse of her
from atop an adjoining cliff, the actress herself looked pretty relaxed,
so what if Love Story 2050 couldn’t work magic at the BO.
Sporting a casual outfit,
Priyanka was seen riding up and down the road as the director said ‘action’,
though we did hear the lovely lady breaking into giggles now and then.
Well, she sure seems to believe in fun at work.
Having landed in Jaipur
on Sunday night she shot through Monday, before leaving for Mumbai on Monday
evening. “The day has been really long for me, as we started shooting in
the morning and till late evening the whole unit was just engaged with
the shoot. Though it was fun, but very tiring as well,” said Priyanka,
talking exclusively to JT on her way to the airport.

“I have visited
Rajasthan many times, but never as a tourist. So, I haven’t had the chance
to really go around and experience the beauty of the place,” rues the actress
who shot for her film Drona which also stars Abhishek Bachchan in Rajasthan.
Claiming that her shooting stint during Drona brought her close to the
people of the desert state she says, “What feels great about the place
is not only its beauty, but also its culture and one actually feels like
one belongs to India when one is in Rajasthan.”
Priyanka is awaiting four
releases this year but, the lady however spells out her own favourites.
“All the four movies this year are actually very exciting. I really enjoyed
working for all of them and I am particularly waiting for the release of
Drona and Fashion. They are really good movies, you must catch them,” she
tells us. |
