Under the project 24.74 km road will be developed in three phases to be completed in equal number of years, an official release said.

While Shirdi Saibaba Sansthan will make available all the funds for the scheme, the Municipal council will provide for land acquistion and other services.

The MSRDC is busy in preparing the budget for the first phase of the work, which includes development of roads, dividers, pedestrian-ways and street-lights. It will also be responsible for the beautification of the area by creating green belts through plantation of trees and lawns.

The Corporation has already prepared a draft proposing construction of three underground passages to the temple in order to facilate the movements of the pilgrims and submitted it to Shirdi Sansthan. It has also identified eight plotted residential facilities for the visiting devotees.

In the first stage 11 roads of 8.49 kms, six roads of 6.85 kms in second stage and 8 roads of 9.40 kms in third stage, will be developed, the release added.
